QUALIFICATION/ELIGIBILITY
- Ph.D/M.Phil or Master’s Degree in Climate Change/Environmental Sciences/Renewable Energy/Natural Resource Management/ Environmental Economics & Policy/Climate Finance or any other relevant disciplines from HEC-recognized national or international university of high-ranking candidates with highly cited research publications in national/international high-impact Journals will be given preference.
- At least seven (07) years of professional experience for candidates with a PhD and nine (09) years’ experience for candidates with a Master’s Degree in the relevant field [including three (03) years of senior management level positions], particularly in the areas of policy formulation, strategic planning, conceiving/implementing development initiatives with a specific focus on climate change.
- Qualifications in project management, climate finance, environmental law, sustainable development initiatives and IT will be considered as an added advantage.
- Comprehensive understanding of the climate change scenarios on national and international levels.
Demonstrated knowledge and practical working experience of multidisciplinary policy/strategy formulation, national planning in the field of environment management and mainstreaming climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives, livelihood improvement, biodiversity conservation or natural resource management in developing countries. - Demonstrated ability to make impact-oriented specific contributions through original research publication (s) in national/international high-impact journals.
- Skills and knowledge/international environmenJournalsgy. climate change, sustainable development goals (SDGs), macroeconomic policies, poverty reduction, and sustainable development.
- Extensive conceptual and practical knowledge of operating and strategic principles of International Donors and UN Agencies.
- Experience in working and collaborating with stakeholders including Governments; International Donors, INGOs, Civil Society etc.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and prepare analytical/technical reports.
- Experience in drafting various climate change-related bills/legal documents.
Age: 62 Years Maximum (to be calculated as of the closing date of the submission of applications)
